Fenny Castle vineyard, close to Wells and Glastonbury.

Fenny Castle isn't a large producer, the drive way into the farm is very informal and the whole thing is run by James and his wife Gill who did a great low key but informative talk.  The passion, hard work and dedication was clear.

It shows that its not all about the large producers, small independent growers have the skill but also the freedom to try new things which in turn creates a great product.

Only a couple of fields of vines producing 6,000 bottles.  All hand picked, pressed, fermented, bottled on site, no additional juice brought in or added.  Everything done on site.

The result is an amazingly light and fresh rose, a fresh, zesty white and an incredible, award winning sparkling.
